Mosman

THE PROCESS

This captivating Victorian heritage home, built in 1885, proudly stands as the very first residence on this scenic Mosman street. After finding their perfect place to call home, the brief from these clients was to create a fresh and bright interior, with a soft, neutral base and splashes of colour.

Both having grown up on farms, the owners had always lived in traditional homes. They missed the warmth, cosiness and character of these homes, and wanted a place that reflected these elements.

With an initially tired interior, we did a complete renovation of all 3 bathrooms and refresh of the kitchen space, maintaining its heritage charm through antique details, authentic finishes and curated upholstery. The study saw a vibrant upgrade with the addition of redesigned joinery that illuminates the room with its rich blue finish and grandeur.

We also drew focus on the magnificence of the space, carefully scaling elements to accentuate the rooms and ceiling height. Key features, such as the Italian 19th century carved mirror on the fireplace and the long-drop custom-made barrel lights over the dining table, play a vital role in creating a sense of spaciousness.

This loved heritage home exudes a style that is effortlessly relaxed yet sophisticated, blending elegance with a touch of opulence. It showcases a luxurious ambience characterised by carefully curated details and a sense of refined comfort throughout.
